At Mattress & More, we love seeing our community thrive. Our local sponsorship efforts provide meaningful support and services to Kentuckiana – and the people we care about most. Some of the organizations we are most closely involved with are:
Kentucky Derby Festival
Kentucky Derby Festival boosts our city’s economy and raises money for local charities through events and concerts. The Great Bed Races, where contestants decorate and race a bed on wheels, is the wackiest of all the Derby Festival events, and Mattress & More is excited to be a sponsor!
Komen For The Cure
The Louisville Chapter of Susan G. Komen for the Cure makes a significant difference in the lives of women facing breast cancer. Mattress & More supports the organization’s annual fundraiser, the Pink Tie Ball, as a sponsor of the Pink Lounge after-dinner party.
American Red Cross
The annual Wrapped in Red Gala, proudly sponsored by Mattress & More, benefits the Louisville Chapter of the American Red Cross. The money raised at the Gala helps the Red Cross provide relief for local victims of home fires, floods and other disasters. They also provide emergency services for members of our armed forces.
The Louisville Slugger may have put our city on the map back in the 1800s, but we still love the excitement that the sport of baseball brings to downtown Louisville. That's why Mattress and More is an official sponsor of the Louisville Bats!
We are honored to partner with USA Cares in helping to provide a hand up for America’s military familes by sponsoring their 5K Heroes Run/Walk. USA Cares provides financial and advocacy assistance to post 9/11 active duty US military service personnel, veterans and their families.
All Mattress & More locations have been designated a National Safe Place in their respective communities. Safe Place is a national youth outreach program that educates thousands of young people every year about the dangers of running away or trying to resolve difficult, threatening situations on their own. This easily-replicated initiative involves the whole community to provide safe havens and resources for youth in crisis.
Safe Place creates a network of Safe Place locations — schools, fire stations, libraries, grocery and convenience stores, public transit, YMCAs and other appropriate public buildings – that display the yellow and black diamond-shaped Safe Place sign. These locations extend the doors of the youth service agency or emergency shelter throughout the community. Youth can easily access immediate help wherever they are.
